Lumin’s own translation, drafted with AI from the Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek, checked verse by verse against them, and approved by Lumin. Brackets mark verses not found in the earliest manuscripts.

1. At that time Michael, the great prince who stands guard over your people, will arise. There will be a time of distress such as has never occurred since there was a nation until that time. But at that time your people will be rescued—everyone who is found written in the book.
2. Many of those who lie asleep in the dusty ground will wake up, some to everlasting life, and others to disgrace and everlasting contempt.
3. Those who have insight will shine like the brightness of the sky, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever.
4. But you, Daniel, close up these words and seal the book until the time of the end. Many will rush here and there, and knowledge will grow.”
5. Then I, Daniel, looked, and there before me stood two others, one on this bank of the river and one on the other bank.
6. One of them said to the man dressed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, “How long will it be until the end of these astonishing things?”
7. I heard the man dressed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, as he raised his right hand and his left hand toward heaven and swore by the one who lives forever that it would be for a time, times, and half a time, and that when the shattering of the power of the holy people comes to an end, all these things will be completed.
8. I heard, but I did not understand. So I said, “My lord, what will be the outcome of these things?”
9. He said, “Go your way, Daniel, for the words are kept secret and sealed until the time of the end.
10. Many will be purified, made white, and refined, but the wicked will go on acting wickedly. None of the wicked will understand, but those who have insight will understand.
11. From the time that the regular offering is abolished and the abomination that makes desolate is set up, there will be 1,290 days.
12. Blessed is the one who waits and reaches the end of the 1,335 days.
13. But you, go your way until the end. You will rest, and at the end of the days you will rise to receive your allotted inheritance.”
