1. Moses assembled the whole community of the Israelites and said to them, “These are the things Yahweh has commanded you to do.
2. For six days work may be done, but the seventh day is to be a holy day for you, a Sabbath of complete rest to Yahweh. Whoever does any work on it must be put to death.
3. Do not light a fire in any of your homes on the Sabbath day.”
4. Moses said to the whole community of the Israelites, “This is what Yahweh has commanded:
5. Take from among you an offering for Yahweh. Let everyone whose heart is willing bring Yahweh’s offering: gold, silver, and bronze;
6. blue, purple, and scarlet yarn; fine linen and goat hair;
7. ram skins dyed red, fine leather, and acacia wood;
8. oil for the light, spices for the anointing oil and for the fragrant incense;
9. and onyx stones and other gems to be set in the ephod and the breastpiece.
10. Let all who are skilled among you come and make everything Yahweh has commanded:
11. the tabernacle, with its tent and its covering, its clasps, its frames, its crossbars, its posts, and its bases;
12. the ark with its poles, the mercy seat, and the screening curtain;
13. the table with its poles and all its utensils, and the bread of the Presence;
14. the lampstand for the light with its utensils and its lamps, and the oil for the light;
15. the altar of incense with its poles, the anointing oil, and the fragrant incense; the screen for the entrance, at the entrance of the tabernacle;
16. the altar of burnt offering with its bronze grating, its poles, and all its utensils; the basin with its stand;
17. the hangings of the courtyard, its posts and their bases, and the screen for the gate of the courtyard;
18. the tent pegs for the tabernacle and the tent pegs for the courtyard, and their ropes;
19. the woven garments for ministering in the holy place, the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and the garments for his sons to serve as priests.”
20. Then the whole community of the Israelites left Moses’ presence.
21. Everyone whose heart stirred him and everyone whose spirit moved him came and brought Yahweh’s offering for the work on the tent of meeting, for all its service, and for the holy garments.
22. They came, men and women alike, all who had a willing heart. They brought brooches, earrings, rings, and ornaments, all kinds of gold jewelry—everyone who presented a wave offering of gold to Yahweh.
23. Everyone who had blue, purple, or scarlet yarn, fine linen, goat hair, ram skins dyed red, or fine leather brought them.
24. Everyone who made an offering of silver or bronze brought it as Yahweh’s offering, and everyone who had acacia wood for any part of the work brought it.
25. Every skilled woman spun with her own hands and brought what she had spun: blue, purple, and scarlet yarn, and fine linen.
26. All the women whose hearts stirred them and who had the skill spun the goat hair.
27. The leaders brought onyx stones and other gems to be set in the ephod and the breastpiece,
28. as well as spices and oil for the light, for the anointing oil, and for the fragrant incense.
29. All the Israelite men and women whose hearts moved them to bring something for all the work that Yahweh had commanded through Moses to be done brought it to Yahweh as a freewill offering.
30. Then Moses said to the Israelites, “See, Yahweh has called by name Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah.
31. He has filled him with the Spirit of God, with skill, understanding, and knowledge in every kind of craft,
32. to make artistic designs, to work in gold, silver, and bronze,
33. to cut stones for setting, to carve wood, and to work in every kind of artistic craft.
34. He has also given both him and Oholiab son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan, the ability to teach others.
35. He has filled them with skill to do every kind of work as engravers, designers, and embroiderers in blue, purple, and scarlet yarn and fine linen, and as weavers. They can do every kind of work and make artistic designs.
