Lumin’s own translation, drafted with AI from the Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek, checked verse by verse against them, and approved by Lumin. Brackets mark verses not found in the earliest manuscripts.

1. “Who is this coming from Edom, from Bozrah, in garments stained crimson? Who is this, splendid in his clothing, striding forward in the greatness of his strength?” “It is I, who speak in righteousness, mighty to save.”
2. “Why is your clothing red, and your garments like those of one who treads the winepress?”
3. “I have trodden the winepress alone; from the peoples no one was with me. I trod them in my anger and trampled them in my wrath; their lifeblood spattered my garments, and I stained all my clothing.
4. For the day of vengeance was in my heart, and the year of my redeemed had come.
5. I looked, but there was no one to help; I was appalled that there was no one to support me. So my own arm worked salvation for me, and my wrath upheld me.
6. I trampled the peoples in my anger; I made them drunk in my wrath, and I poured out their lifeblood on the ground.”
7. I will recount the steadfast love of Yahweh, the praiseworthy deeds of Yahweh, according to all that Yahweh has done for us, and his great goodness to the house of Israel, which he has shown them according to his compassion and the abundance of his steadfast love.
8. For he said, “Surely they are my people, children who will not be false.” And so he became their Savior.
9. In all their distress he was distressed, and the angel of his presence saved them. In his love and in his pity he redeemed them; he lifted them up and carried them all the days of old.
10. But they rebelled and grieved his Holy Spirit; so he turned and became their enemy, and he himself fought against them.
11. Then he remembered the days of old, Moses and his people: “Where is he who brought them up out of the sea with the shepherds of his flock? Where is he who put his Holy Spirit among them,
12. who caused his glorious arm to go at the right hand of Moses, who divided the waters before them to make for himself an everlasting name,
13. who led them through the depths? Like a horse in the open country, they did not stumble.
14. Like cattle that go down into the valley, they were given rest by the Spirit of Yahweh.” So you led your people, to make for yourself a glorious name.
15. Look down from heaven and see, from your holy and glorious dwelling. Where are your zeal and your mighty deeds? The stirring of your heart and your compassion are held back from me.
16. For you are our Father, though Abraham does not know us and Israel does not acknowledge us. You, Yahweh, are our Father; our Redeemer from of old is your name.
17. Why, Yahweh, do you make us wander from your ways and harden our hearts so that we do not fear you? Return for the sake of your servants, the tribes of your inheritance.
18. For a little while your holy people possessed it; now our adversaries have trampled down your sanctuary.
19. We have become like those you have never ruled, like those who were never called by your name.
