1. On the eighth day Moses called Aaron and his sons and the elders of Israel.
2. He said to Aaron, “Take a calf from the herd for a sin offering and a ram for a burnt offering, both without defect, and present them before Yahweh.
3. Then say to the Israelites, ‘Take a male goat for a sin offering, and a calf and a lamb, both a year old and without defect, for a burnt offering,
4. and an ox and a ram for fellowship offerings to sacrifice before Yahweh, and a grain offering mixed with oil, for today Yahweh will appear to you.’”
5. They brought what Moses had commanded to the front of the tent of meeting, and the whole congregation came near and stood before Yahweh.
6. Moses said, “This is what Yahweh has commanded you to do, so that the glory of Yahweh may appear to you.”
7. Then Moses said to Aaron, “Come near to the altar and offer your sin offering and your burnt offering, and make atonement for yourself and for the people. Then offer the people’s offering and make atonement for them, as Yahweh has commanded.”
8. So Aaron came near to the altar and slaughtered the calf of the sin offering that was for himself.
9. Aaron’s sons brought the blood to him, and he dipped his finger in the blood and put it on the horns of the altar. He poured out the rest of the blood at the base of the altar.
10. But the fat, the kidneys, and the lobe of the liver from the sin offering he burned on the altar, as Yahweh had commanded Moses.
11. The meat and the hide he burned in the fire outside the camp.
12. Then he slaughtered the burnt offering. Aaron’s sons handed him the blood, and he splashed it against the altar on all sides.
13. They handed him the burnt offering piece by piece, and the head, and he burned them on the altar.
14. He washed the entrails and the legs and burned them on top of the burnt offering on the altar.
15. Then he presented the people’s offering. He took the goat of the sin offering that was for the people, slaughtered it, and offered it as a sin offering, as he had done with the first.
16. He presented the burnt offering and offered it according to the regulation.
17. He presented the grain offering, took a handful of it, and burned it on the altar, in addition to the morning burnt offering.
18. Then he slaughtered the ox and the ram as the sacrifice of fellowship offerings for the people. Aaron’s sons handed him the blood, and he splashed it against the altar on all sides.
19. They also handed him the fat portions from the ox and from the ram: the fat tail, the fat that covers the entrails, the kidneys, and the lobe of the liver.
20. They laid the fat portions on the breasts, and he burned the fat portions on the altar.
21. Aaron waved the breasts and the right thigh as a wave offering before Yahweh, as Moses had commanded.
22. Then Aaron lifted his hands toward the people and blessed them, and after offering the sin offering, the burnt offering, and the fellowship offerings, he came down.
23. Moses and Aaron went into the tent of meeting. When they came out, they blessed the people, and the glory of Yahweh appeared to all the people.
24. Fire came out from Yahweh’s presence and consumed the burnt offering and the fat portions on the altar. When all the people saw it, they shouted for joy and fell on their faces.
