Lumin’s own translation, drafted with AI from the Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek, checked verse by verse against them, and approved by Lumin. Brackets mark verses not found in the earliest manuscripts.

1. Jesus said to his disciples, “Things that cause people to stumble are sure to come, but woe to the one through whom they come!
2. It would be better for that person to have a millstone hung around their neck and be thrown into the sea than to cause one of these little ones to stumble.
3. Watch yourselves! If your brother or sister sins, rebuke them, and if they repent, forgive them.
4. Even if they sin against you seven times in a day, and seven times come back to you and say, ‘I repent,’ you must forgive them.”
5. The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!”
6. The Lord said, “If you had faith like a mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be pulled up by the roots and be planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you.
7. Suppose one of you has a servant who is plowing or tending sheep. When he comes in from the field, will you say to him, ‘Come at once and recline at the table’?
8. Will you not rather say to him, ‘Prepare my supper, get dressed to serve me while I eat and drink, and after that you can eat and drink’?
9. Would you thank the servant for doing what he was ordered to do?
10. So you also, when you have done everything you were ordered to do, should say, ‘We are unworthy servants; we have only done what we ought to have done.’”
11. On the way to Jerusalem, Jesus was passing along between Samaria and Galilee.
12. As he was going into a village, ten men with leprosy met him. They stood at a distance,
13. and called out loudly, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!”
14. When he saw them, he said to them, “Go and show yourselves to the priests.” And as they went, they were made clean.
15. One of them, when he saw that he was healed, came back, praising God in a loud voice.
16. He fell on his face at Jesus’ feet and thanked him. And he was a Samaritan.
17. Jesus responded, “Were not all ten made clean? Where are the other nine?
18. Was no one found to come back and give glory to God except this foreigner?”
19. Then he said to him, “Get up and go on your way. Your faith has saved you.”
20. Once, when Jesus was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, he answered them, “The kingdom of God is not coming with signs that can be observed,
21. nor will people say, ‘Look, here it is!’ or ‘There it is!’ For the kingdom of God is among you.”
22. Then he said to the disciples, “The time will come when you will long to see one of the days of the Son of Man, and you will not see it.
23. People will say to you, ‘Look, over there!’ or ‘Look, right here!’ Do not go off after them or run after them.
24. For as the lightning flashes and lights up the sky from one end to the other, so will the Son of Man be in his day.
25. But first he must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation.
26. Just as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be in the days of the Son of Man.
27. People were eating and drinking, marrying and being given in marriage, until the day Noah went into the ark. Then the flood came and destroyed them all.
28. It was the same in the days of Lot. People were eating and drinking, buying and selling, planting and building.
29. But on the day Lot went out from Sodom, fire and sulfur rained down from heaven and destroyed them all.
30. It will be just like that on the day the Son of Man is revealed.
31. On that day, anyone who is on the housetop, with their belongings in the house, must not come down to get them. Likewise, anyone in the field must not turn back.
32. Remember Lot’s wife!
33. Whoever tries to keep their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life will preserve it.
34. I tell you, on that night there will be two people in one bed; one will be taken and the other left.
35. There will be two women grinding grain together; one will be taken and the other left.”
36. [“Two will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left.”]
37. They asked him, “Where, Lord?” He said to them, “Where the body is, there the vultures will gather.”
