1. Give thanks to Yahweh; call on his name; make known his deeds among the peoples.
2. Sing to him, sing praises to him; tell of all his wonderful works.
3. Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek Yahweh rejoice.
4. Seek Yahweh and his strength; seek his face always.
5. Remember the wonders he has done, his miracles, and the judgments he has spoken,
6. you offspring of Abraham his servant, you children of Jacob, his chosen ones.
7. He is Yahweh our God; his judgments are in all the earth.
8. He remembers his covenant forever, the word he commanded for a thousand generations,
9. the covenant he made with Abraham, his oath to Isaac.
10. He confirmed it to Jacob as a statute, to Israel as an everlasting covenant,
11. saying, “To you I will give the land of Canaan as the portion of your inheritance.”
12. When they were few in number, very few, and foreigners in it,
13. they wandered from nation to nation, from one kingdom to another people.
14. He let no one oppress them; he rebuked kings on their account:
15. “Do not touch my anointed ones; do my prophets no harm.”
16. He called down a famine on the land and cut off every supply of bread.
17. He sent a man ahead of them, Joseph, who was sold as a slave.
18. They hurt his feet with shackles; his neck was put in iron,
19. until the time his word came true; the word of Yahweh tested him.
20. The king sent and released him; the ruler of peoples set him free.
21. He made him master of his household and ruler over all his possessions,
22. to bind his officials at his pleasure and to teach his elders wisdom.
23. Then Israel came to Egypt; Jacob lived as a foreigner in the land of Ham.
24. He made his people very fruitful and made them stronger than their foes.
25. He turned their hearts to hate his people, to deal craftily with his servants.
26. He sent Moses his servant, and Aaron, whom he had chosen.
27. They performed his signs among them, his wonders in the land of Ham.
28. He sent darkness and made it dark, and they did not rebel against his word.
29. He turned their waters into blood and caused their fish to die.
30. Their land swarmed with frogs, even in the rooms of their kings.
31. He spoke, and swarms of flies came, and gnats throughout their territory.
32. He gave them hail for rain, with flashing fire throughout their land.
33. He struck down their vines and fig trees and shattered the trees of their territory.
34. He spoke, and the locusts came, young locusts without number.
35. They ate up every plant in their land and devoured the fruit of their ground.
36. He struck down all the firstborn in their land, the firstfruits of all their strength.
37. He brought them out with silver and gold, and among his tribes no one stumbled.
38. Egypt was glad when they left, for dread of Israel had fallen on them.
39. He spread out a cloud as a covering, and fire to give light at night.
40. They asked, and he brought quail; he satisfied them with bread from heaven.
41. He opened the rock, and water gushed out; it flowed like a river through the dry land.
42. For he remembered his holy promise to Abraham his servant.
43. He brought out his people with rejoicing, his chosen ones with shouts of joy.
44. He gave them the lands of the nations, and they took possession of what the peoples had worked for,
45. so that they would keep his statutes and observe his laws. Hallelujah!
