*A song of ascents.*

1. From the depths I have called to you, Yahweh.
2. Lord, listen to my voice! Let your ears be alert to the sound of my pleas for mercy.
3. If you kept count of iniquities, Yah—Lord, who could stand?
4. But forgiveness is with you, so that you may be revered.
5. I have waited for Yahweh; my soul has waited, and I have put my hope in his word.
6. My soul waits for the Lord more than guards on watch wait for daybreak, guards on watch for daybreak.
7. Israel, wait in hope for Yahweh, because steadfast love is with Yahweh, and redemption is with him in abundance.
8. It is he who will redeem Israel from all its iniquities.
