*For the choir director. According to Muth-labben. A psalm of David.*

1. I will thank Yahweh with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds.
2. I will be glad and rejoice in you; I will sing praise to your name, Most High.
3. When my enemies turn back, they stumble and perish before you.
4. For you have upheld my right and my cause; you have sat on the throne, judging righteously.
5. You have rebuked the nations; you have destroyed the wicked; you have blotted out their name forever and ever.
6. The enemy has come to an end, in ruins forever; you have uprooted their cities; even the memory of them has perished.
7. But Yahweh sits enthroned forever; he has set up his throne for judgment.
8. He will judge the world in righteousness; he will judge the peoples with fairness.
9. Yahweh is a stronghold for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble.
10. Those who know your name will trust in you, for you, Yahweh, have not abandoned those who seek you.
11. Sing praise to Yahweh, who is enthroned in Zion; proclaim his deeds among the peoples.
12. For the one who avenges bloodshed remembers them; he does not forget the cry of the afflicted.
13. Be gracious to me, Yahweh! See how I suffer from those who hate me, you who lift me up from the gates of death,
14. so that I may tell of all your praises in the gates of Daughter Zion and rejoice in your salvation.
15. The nations have sunk into the pit they dug; their feet are caught in the net they hid.
16. Yahweh has made himself known; he has carried out justice; the wicked are snared by the work of their own hands. Higgaion. Selah.
17. The wicked will return to Sheol, all the nations that forget God.
18. For the needy will not always be forgotten, and the hope of the afflicted will never perish.
19. Rise up, Yahweh! Do not let mortals prevail; let the nations be judged in your presence.
20. Strike them with terror, Yahweh; let the nations know that they are only mortals. Selah.
