Ephesians 1

Lumin Translation 2.0 checked against the Hebrew and Greek How it was made

Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by God’s will, to the saints who are in Ephesus and who are faithful in Christ Jesus:

Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who in Christ has blessed us in the heavenly places with every spiritual blessing,

just as he chose us in him before the world was founded, so that we would be holy and without blemish in his presence in love.

He predestined us for adoption as his sons through Jesus Christ, in keeping with the good pleasure of his will,

to the praise of the glory of his grace, which he has graciously given us in the Beloved.

In him, through his blood, we have redemption—our trespasses forgiven—in keeping with the wealth of his grace,

which he poured out on us in abundance with all wisdom and discernment.

He let us know the mystery of his will, in keeping with his good pleasure, which he had planned in him

as his arrangement for when the times are fulfilled: to gather up all things in Christ, the things in the heavens and the things on the earth—in him.

In him we also were allotted an inheritance, having been predestined by the plan of the one who accomplishes everything in keeping with the decision of his will,

so that we, the ones who had already set our hope on Christ, would be to the praise of his glory.

And in him you too, having heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and having believed in him, were sealed with the Holy Spirit who had been promised,

who is the down payment on our inheritance until God redeems what he has acquired as his own, to the praise of his glory.

That is why I too, having heard about the faith among you in the Lord Jesus and the love you show to all the saints,

never stop giving thanks for you, making mention of you when I pray.

My request is that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, will give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation as you come to know him,

with the eyes of your heart filled with light, so that you will know what hope his calling brings, how rich is the glory of his inheritance among the saints,

and how immensely great his power is toward us who believe, in line with the working of his mighty strength.

He put this strength to work in Christ by raising him from the dead and seating him at his right hand in the heavenly places,

high above every ruler, authority, power, and lordship, and above every name that is ever named, not just in this age but in the age to come as well.

And he put everything under his feet, and he gave him to the church to be head over everything,

which is his body, the fullness of the one who fills all things in every way.
