Lumin Translation
Timothy 2
Lumin Translation 2.0 checked against the Hebrew and Greek How it was made
First of all, then, I urge that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people,
for kings and all who are in high positions, so that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life in all godliness and dignity.
This is good, and it pleases God our Savior,
who wants all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and humanity, the man Christ Jesus,
who gave himself as a ransom for all. This was the testimony given at the proper time.
For this I was appointed a herald and an apostle—I am telling the truth, I am not lying—a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.
So I want the men in every place to pray, lifting up holy hands without anger or arguing.
Likewise, I want women to dress in suitable clothing, with modesty and good sense, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or expensive clothes,
but with good works, as is fitting for women who profess reverence for God.
A woman should learn quietly, with full submission.
I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man; she is to remain quiet.
For Adam was formed first, then Eve.
And Adam was not deceived, but the woman was deceived and fell into transgression.
But she will be saved through childbearing, if they continue in faith and love and holiness, with good sense.
