Lumin Translation
2 Timothy 3
Lumin Translation 2.0 checked against the Hebrew and Greek How it was made
1Know this, though: in the last days hard times will set in.
2For people will be in love with themselves and with money, boastful, haughty, insulting, disobedient to parents, thankless, irreverent,
3unfeeling, refusing to make peace, given to slander, lacking self-control, savage, with no love for what is good,
4traitors, rash, blinded by pride, loving pleasure more than they love God,
5keeping up a show of godliness while having denied its power. Turn away from people like this.
6For some of them are the ones who slip into homes and take captive foolish women, heaped with sins and driven by desires of every kind,
7forever learning, yet never able to reach full knowledge of the truth.
8In the same way that Jannes and Jambres stood against Moses, these people also stand against the truth. Their minds are corrupted, and they have failed the test with respect to the faith.
9Yet they will not advance any further, since their senselessness will be obvious to everyone, as happened with those two men.
10But you have been a close follower of my teaching, my way of life, my purpose, my faith, my patience, my love, my endurance,
11the persecutions and the sufferings I met with in Antioch, in Iconium, and in Lystra. Such were the persecutions I endured, and the Lord delivered me out of them all.
12In fact, persecution will come to everyone who wants to live in a godly way in Christ Jesus,
13while wicked people and swindlers sink from bad to worse, misleading others and being misled.
14You, however, must remain in what you learned and were assured of, since you know the people you learned it from,
15and that since you were a small child you have known the sacred writings, which have the power to give you wisdom for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.
16All Scripture comes from the breath of God and is beneficial for teaching, for reproof, for setting things right, and for training in righteousness,
17so that the person of God may be fully capable, thoroughly prepared for every good work.
