Lumin Translation
2 Chronicles 4
Lumin Translation 2.0 checked against the Hebrew and Greek How it was made
1He made a bronze altar twenty cubits long, twenty cubits wide, and ten cubits high.
2He made the Sea of cast metal. It was round, ten cubits from rim to rim and five cubits high, and a line thirty cubits long would go around it.
3Under it were figures of oxen encircling it all around, ten to a cubit, surrounding the Sea. The oxen were in two rows, cast in one piece with it.
4It stood on twelve oxen, three facing north, three facing west, three facing south, and three facing east. The Sea rested on top of them, and all their hindquarters were toward the inside.
5It was a handbreadth thick, and its rim was made like the rim of a cup, like a lily blossom. It held three thousand baths.
6He also made ten basins for washing and put five on the right and five on the left. In them they rinsed the things used for the burnt offering, but the Sea was for the priests to wash in.
7He made ten gold lampstands as prescribed for them and set them in the temple, five on the right and five on the left.
8He made ten tables and placed them in the temple, five on the right and five on the left. He also made a hundred gold sprinkling bowls.
9He made the courtyard of the priests and the great court, with doors for the court, and he overlaid their doors with bronze.
10He placed the Sea on the right side, toward the southeast.
11Huram also made the pots, the shovels, and the sprinkling bowls. So Huram finished the work he did for King Solomon in the house of God:
12the two pillars; the bowl-shaped capitals on top of the two pillars; the two sets of latticework to cover the two bowls of the capitals on top of the pillars;
13the four hundred pomegranates for the two sets of latticework, two rows of pomegranates for each lattice, to cover the two bowls of the capitals on the pillars;
14the stands he made, and the basins he made on the stands;
15the one Sea and the twelve oxen under it;
16and the pots, the shovels, the forks, and all their utensils. Huram-abi made them of polished bronze for King Solomon for the house of Yahweh.
17The king cast them in the plain of the Jordan, in the clay ground between Succoth and Zeredah.
18Solomon made all these items in such great quantity that the weight of the bronze could not be determined.
19Solomon also made all the furnishings that were in the house of God: the golden altar; the tables on which was the bread of the Presence;
20the lampstands with their lamps of pure gold, to burn in front of the inner sanctuary as prescribed;
21the flowers, the lamps, and the tongs of gold, of the purest gold;
22the wick trimmers, sprinkling bowls, dishes, and firepans of pure gold; and the entrance of the house, its inner doors to the Most Holy Place and the doors of the house to the main hall, of gold.
