Colossians 3
Lumin Translation 2.0 checked against the Hebrew and Greek How it was made
Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, keep seeking what is above, where Christ is, sitting at God’s right hand.
Keep your thoughts on what is above, not on what is on the earth.
For you died, and your life now lies hidden with Christ in God.
When Christ, your life, is revealed, then you too will be revealed with him in glory.
So put to death the earthly parts of you: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desire, and the greed that is idolatry.
Because of these things the wrath of God is coming on those who are disobedient.
You too once conducted yourselves in these ways, when you lived in them.
But now you also must throw them all off: anger, fury, malice, slander, and shameful talk from your mouth.
Stop lying to each other, because you have stripped off the old self together with its deeds
and have clothed yourselves with the new self, which is being made new in knowledge to match the image of the one who created it.
In this there is no Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave and free. Rather, Christ is all things and in all.
So, as those God has chosen, holy and loved, clothe yourselves with tender mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.
Put up with one another, and when anyone has a grievance against someone else, forgive each other. The Lord has forgiven you, so you are to forgive in the same way.
Over all these, put on love, which is the bond of completeness.
Let Christ’s peace be the umpire in your hearts, for you were called to it in one body. And be grateful.
Let the word of Christ live among you abundantly, as with all wisdom you teach and instruct one another and sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs to God, thankful in your hearts.
Whatever you do, whether in speech or in action, do all of it in the name of the Lord Jesus, and give thanks through him to God the Father.
Wives, submit to your husbands, as is proper in the Lord.
Husbands, love your wives and do not treat them harshly.
Children, obey your parents in all things, for this is pleasing in the Lord.
Fathers, do not irritate your children, so that they will not become disheartened.
Slaves, obey your human masters in all things, not just to be seen or to win people’s approval, but with an undivided heart, because you fear the Lord.
Whatever you do, put your whole self into the work, as for the Lord and not for people,
since you know that the Lord will repay you with the inheritance. The Lord Christ is the one you serve.
For whoever does wrong will receive back the wrong they have done, and no one is shown favoritism.
