Jeremiah 30

Lumin Translation 2.0 checked against the Hebrew and Greek How it was made

This is the word that came to Jeremiah from Yahweh:

“This is what Yahweh, the God of Israel, says: Write in a book all the words I have spoken to you.

For look, the days are coming, declares Yahweh, when I will restore the fortunes of my people Israel and Judah, says Yahweh, and I will bring them back to the land that I gave to their ancestors, and they will take possession of it.”

These are the words that Yahweh spoke concerning Israel and Judah.

This is what Yahweh says: “We have heard a cry of panic, of terror, and there is no peace.

Ask now and see: can a male give birth? Why then do I see every man with his hands on his stomach like a woman in labor? Why has every face turned pale?

Alas! That day is great; there is none like it. It is a time of distress for Jacob, yet he will be saved out of it.

On that day, declares Yahweh of Armies, I will break his yoke off your neck and tear off your bonds, and foreigners will no longer make him their slave.

Instead they will serve Yahweh their God and David their king, whom I will raise up for them.

So do not be afraid, Jacob my servant, declares Yahweh; do not be terrified, Israel. For look, I will save you from far away, and your descendants from the land of their captivity. Jacob will return and have quiet and rest, and no one will make him afraid.

For I am with you to save you, declares Yahweh. I will make a full end of all the nations among which I scattered you, but I will not make a full end of you. I will discipline you with justice; I will by no means leave you unpunished.”

For this is what Yahweh says: “Your injury is incurable; your wound is severe.

There is no one to plead your cause, no remedy for your sore, no healing for you.

All your lovers have forgotten you; they do not care about you. For I have struck you as an enemy strikes, with the punishment of a cruel foe, because your guilt is great and your sins are many.

Why do you cry out over your injury? Your pain is incurable. Because your guilt is great and your sins are many, I have done these things to you.

Therefore all who devour you will be devoured, and all your enemies, every one of them, will go into captivity. Those who plunder you will be plundered, and all who prey on you I will make prey.

For I will restore you to health and heal your wounds, declares Yahweh, because they have called you an outcast: ‘This is Zion; no one cares about her.’”

This is what Yahweh says: “Look, I will restore the fortunes of the tents of Jacob and have compassion on his dwellings. The city will be rebuilt on its mound, and the palace will stand in its proper place.

Songs of thanksgiving will come from them, and the sound of people celebrating. I will multiply them, and they will not decrease; I will honor them, and they will not be made small.

Their children will be as in days of old, and their community will be established before me, and I will punish all who oppress them.

Their leader will be one of their own; their ruler will come from among them. I will bring him near, and he will approach me, for who would dare to risk his life by approaching me? declares Yahweh.

So you will be my people, and I will be your God.”

Look, the storm of Yahweh! His fury has gone out, a sweeping storm; it will whirl down on the heads of the wicked.

The fierce anger of Yahweh will not turn back until he has carried out and accomplished the purposes of his heart. In the last days you will understand this.
