Lumin Translation
John 2
Lumin Translation 2.0 checked against the Hebrew and Greek How it was made
On the third day there was a wedding at Cana in Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there.
Jesus and his disciples had also been invited to the wedding.
When the wine ran out, the mother of Jesus said to him, “They have no wine.”
Jesus said to her, “Woman, what does this have to do with me and you? My hour has not yet come.”
His mother said to the servants, “Do whatever he tells you.”
Now six stone water jars were standing there for the Jewish rites of purification, each holding two or three measures.
Jesus said to them, “Fill the jars with water.” So they filled them up to the brim.
Then he said to them, “Now draw some out and take it to the master of the feast.” So they took it.
When the master of the feast tasted the water that had become wine, and did not know where it had come from (though the servants who had drawn the water knew), the master of the feast called the bridegroom
and said to him, “Everyone serves the good wine first, and then the poorer wine after the guests have drunk freely. But you have kept the good wine until now.”
This, the first of his signs, Jesus did at Cana in Galilee, and he revealed his glory, and his disciples believed in him.
After this he went down to Capernaum with his mother, his brothers, and his disciples, and they stayed there a few days.
The Jewish Passover was near, so Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
In the temple he found people selling cattle, sheep, and doves, and the money changers sitting there.
He made a whip out of cords and drove them all out of the temple, with the sheep and the cattle. He poured out the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables.
To those who were selling doves he said, “Get these things out of here! Stop making my Father’s house a marketplace!”
His disciples remembered that it is written, “Zeal for your house will consume me.”
So the Jews responded to him, “What sign can you show us to prove your right to do these things?”
Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.”
The Jews then said, “This temple took forty-six years to build, and you will raise it up in three days?”
But he was speaking about the temple of his body.
So after he was raised from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this, and they believed the Scripture and the word that Jesus had spoken.
While he was in Jerusalem at the Passover festival, many believed in his name when they saw the signs he was doing.
But Jesus himself would not entrust himself to them, because he knew all people,
and because he did not need anyone to testify about people, for he himself knew what was in people.
