Lumin Translation
Corinthians 3
Lumin Translation 2.0 checked against the Hebrew and Greek How it was made
But I, brothers and sisters, could not speak to you as spiritual people, but as people of the flesh, as infants in Christ.
I gave you milk to drink, not solid food, for you were not yet ready for it. Even now you are still not ready,
for you are still of the flesh. For since there is jealousy and strife among you, are you not of the flesh, and living in a merely human way?
For when one says, “I belong to Paul,” and another, “I belong to Apollos,” are you not merely human?
What then is Apollos? What is Paul? Servants through whom you came to believe, as the Lord gave to each one.
I planted, Apollos watered, but God was making it grow.
So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow.
The one who plants and the one who waters are one, and each will receive his own wages according to his own labor.
For we are God’s fellow workers. You are God’s field, God’s building.
According to the grace of God given to me, like a skilled master builder I laid a foundation, and someone else is building on it. But each one must be careful how he builds on it.
For no one can lay any foundation other than the one that has been laid, which is Jesus Christ.
Now if anyone builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, or straw,
each one’s work will become plain to see, for the Day will make it clear, because it will be revealed with fire, and the fire itself will test what kind of work each one has done.
If the work that someone has built on the foundation survives, he will receive a reward.
If someone’s work is burned up, he will suffer loss, though he himself will be saved, but only as one escaping through fire.
Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that the Spirit of God lives in you?
If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person; for God’s temple is holy, and you are that temple.
Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you thinks he is wise in this age, he should become a fool, so that he may become wise.
For the wisdom of this world is foolishness in God’s sight. For it is written, “He catches the wise in their craftiness,”
and again, “The Lord knows that the thoughts of the wise are futile.”
So let no one boast in human beings. For all things are yours,
whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas or the world or life or death or the present or the future—all are yours,
and you belong to Christ, and Christ belongs to God.
