Lumin Translation

Corinthians 5

Lumin Translation 2.0 checked against the Hebrew and Greek How it was made

It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and of a kind that is not found even among the Gentiles: a man has his father’s wife.

And you are puffed up! Should you not rather have mourned, so that the one who did this would be removed from among you?

For though I am absent in body, I am present in spirit, and as if I were present I have already passed judgment on the one who has done such a thing.

When you are assembled in the name of our Lord Jesus, and my spirit is with you, with the power of our Lord Jesus,

you are to hand this man over to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, so that his spirit may be saved on the day of the Lord.

Your boasting is not good. Do you not know that a little yeast works through the whole batch of dough?

Clean out the old yeast so that you may be a new batch, as you really are unleavened. For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed.

So let us celebrate the festival, not with the old yeast or with the yeast of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

I wrote to you in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral people—

not meaning the sexually immoral people of this world at all, or the greedy and swindlers, or idolaters, since then you would have to leave the world.

But now I am writing to you not to associate with anyone who is called a brother or sister but is sexually immoral or greedy, or an idolater, a slanderer, a drunkard, or a swindler. Do not even eat with such a person.

For what business is it of mine to judge outsiders? Is it not those inside whom you are to judge?

God will judge those outside. “Purge the evil person from among you.”
