Lumin Translation 2.0 checked against the Hebrew and Greek How it was made

So all Israel was enrolled by genealogies, and they are written in the book of the kings of Israel. Judah was taken into exile to Babylon because of their unfaithfulness.

The first to live in their possessions in their towns were Israelites, priests, Levites, and temple servants.

In Jerusalem lived some of the people of Judah, some of the people of Benjamin, and some of the people of Ephraim and Manasseh:

Uthai son of Ammihud, son of Omri, son of Imri, son of Bani, from the descendants of Perez son of Judah.

From the Shilonites: Asaiah the firstborn and his sons.

From the descendants of Zerah: Jeuel and their relatives, 690.

From the descendants of Benjamin: Sallu son of Meshullam, son of Hodaviah, son of Hassenuah,

Ibneiah son of Jeroham, Elah son of Uzzi, son of Michri, and Meshullam son of Shephatiah, son of Reuel, son of Ibnijah,

and their relatives according to their generations, 956. All these men were heads of their ancestral houses.

From the priests: Jedaiah, Jehoiarib, Jachin,

Azariah son of Hilkiah, son of Meshullam, son of Zadok, son of Meraioth, son of Ahitub, the chief officer of the house of God,

Adaiah son of Jeroham, son of Pashhur, son of Malchijah, and Maasai son of Adiel, son of Jahzerah, son of Meshullam, son of Meshillemith, son of Immer,

and their relatives, heads of their ancestral houses, 1,760, very capable men for the work of the service of the house of God.

From the Levites: Shemaiah son of Hasshub, son of Azrikam, son of Hashabiah, from the descendants of Merari;

Bakbakkar, Heresh, Galal, and Mattaniah son of Mica, son of Zichri, son of Asaph;

Obadiah son of Shemaiah, son of Galal, son of Jeduthun; and Berechiah son of Asa, son of Elkanah, who lived in the villages of the Netophathites.

The gatekeepers: Shallum, Akkub, Talmon, Ahiman, and their relatives. Shallum was the chief.

Until now they have been stationed at the King’s Gate on the east. These were the gatekeepers of the camps of the Levites.

Shallum son of Kore, son of Ebiasaph, son of Korah, and his relatives of his father’s house, the Korahites, were in charge of the work of the service, guarding the thresholds of the tent, just as their fathers had been in charge of the camp of Yahweh, guarding the entrance.

Phinehas son of Eleazar was the leader over them in earlier times; Yahweh was with him.

Zechariah son of Meshelemiah was gatekeeper at the entrance of the tent of meeting.

All those chosen to be gatekeepers at the thresholds numbered 212. They were enrolled by genealogy in their villages. David and Samuel the seer had appointed them to their positions of trust.

So they and their sons were in charge of the gates of the house of Yahweh, that is, the house of the tent, by divisions.

The gatekeepers were on the four sides: east, west, north, and south.

Their relatives in their villages were to come in from time to time for seven days at a time to be with them,

for the four chief gatekeepers, who were Levites, were in positions of trust. They were in charge of the chambers and the treasuries of the house of God.

They spent the night around the house of God, because the duty of guarding it was theirs, and they were in charge of the key for opening it every morning.

Some of them were in charge of the utensils used in the service, for they counted them when they brought them in and counted them when they took them out.

Others were appointed over the furnishings and all the holy utensils, and over the fine flour, the wine, the oil, the frankincense, and the spices.

Some of the sons of the priests prepared the blend of the spices.

Mattithiah, one of the Levites, the firstborn of Shallum the Korahite, was entrusted with making the flat cakes.

Some of their relatives from the Kohathites were in charge of the bread that is set out in rows, to prepare it every Sabbath.

These are the singers, heads of ancestral houses of the Levites, who lived in the chambers and were free from other duties, because they were on duty day and night.

These were heads of ancestral houses of the Levites according to their generations, chief men. They lived in Jerusalem.

Jeiel the father of Gibeon lived in Gibeon, and the name of his wife was Maacah.

His firstborn son was Abdon, then Zur, Kish, Baal, Ner, Nadab,

Gedor, Ahio, Zechariah, and Mikloth.

Mikloth fathered Shimeam. They too lived in Jerusalem near their relatives, together with their relatives.

Ner fathered Kish, Kish fathered Saul, and Saul fathered Jonathan, Malchishua, Abinadab, and Eshbaal.

The son of Jonathan was Merib-baal, and Meri-baal fathered Micah.

The sons of Micah: Pithon, Melech, Tahrea, and Ahaz.

Ahaz fathered Jarah, and Jarah fathered Alemeth, Azmaveth, and Zimri. Zimri fathered Moza.

Moza fathered Binea; his son Rephaiah, his son Eleasah, his son Azel.

Azel had six sons, and these are their names: Azrikam, Bocheru, Ishmael, Sheariah, Obadiah, and Hanan. These were the sons of Azel.
