Genesis 7

Lumin Translation 2.0 checked against the Hebrew and Greek How it was made

Then Yahweh said to Noah, “Go into the ark, you and all your household, for I have seen that you are righteous before me in this generation.

Take with you seven pairs of every clean animal, a male and its mate, and one pair of the animals that are not clean, a male and its mate,

and also seven pairs of the birds of the sky, male and female, to keep their offspring alive on the face of all the earth.

For in seven days I will send rain on the earth for forty days and forty nights, and I will wipe off the face of the ground every living thing that I have made.”

Noah did everything that Yahweh commanded him.

Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters came on the earth.

Noah went into the ark with his sons, his wife, and his sons’ wives, to escape the waters of the flood.

Of the clean animals, and of the animals that are not clean, and of the birds, and of everything that creeps on the ground,

two by two they came to Noah into the ark, male and female, as God had commanded Noah.

After the seven days, the waters of the flood came on the earth.

In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month—on that day all the springs of the great deep burst open, and the floodgates of the heavens were opened.

Rain fell on the earth forty days and forty nights.

On that very day Noah and his sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth, and Noah’s wife and the three wives of his sons with them, went into the ark—

they and every wild animal according to its kind, all the livestock according to their kinds, every creeping thing that creeps on the earth according to its kind, and every bird according to its kind, every winged creature of every sort.

They came to Noah into the ark, two by two of all flesh that has the breath of life in it.

Those that went in were male and female of all flesh, as God had commanded him. Then Yahweh shut him in.

The flood continued forty days on the earth. The waters increased and lifted up the ark, and it rose high above the earth.

The waters swelled and increased greatly on the earth, and the ark floated on the surface of the waters.

The waters swelled so greatly on the earth that all the high mountains under the whole sky were covered.

The waters swelled fifteen cubits higher, and the mountains were covered.

All flesh that moved on the earth perished: birds, livestock, wild animals, all the swarming creatures that swarm on the earth, and all human beings.

Everything on the dry land that had the breath of the spirit of life in its nostrils died.

He wiped out every living thing that was on the face of the ground—people and animals, creeping things and the birds of the sky. They were wiped off the earth. Only Noah was left, and those who were with him in the ark.

The waters swelled on the earth for 150 days.
