Job 26
Lumin Translation 2.0 checked against the Hebrew and Greek How it was made
Then Job answered:
“How you have helped the powerless! How you have saved the arm that has no strength!
How you have counseled one without wisdom, and what abundant insight you have made known!
Who helped you utter these words? Whose breath has come out of you?
The dead tremble beneath the waters, and those who live in them.
Sheol is naked before him, and Abaddon has no covering.
He stretches out the north over empty space and hangs the earth on nothing.
He binds up the waters in his thick clouds, yet the clouds do not burst under their weight.
He veils the face of his throne and spreads his cloud over it.
He has marked out a circle on the face of the waters, at the boundary between light and darkness.
The pillars of heaven tremble and are astounded at his rebuke.
By his power he stilled the sea; by his understanding he struck down Rahab.
By his breath the heavens became clear; his hand pierced the fleeing serpent.
Look, these are only the fringes of his ways; how faint is the whisper we hear of him! But the thunder of his power—who can understand it?”
