Job 40
Lumin Translation 2.0 checked against the Hebrew and Greek How it was made
Then Yahweh answered Job:
“Will one who contends with the Almighty correct him? Let the one who accuses God give an answer.”
Then Job answered Yahweh:
“Look, I am insignificant; how can I answer you? I put my hand over my mouth.
I have spoken once, and I will not answer; twice, but I will say no more.”
Then Yahweh answered Job out of the whirlwind:
“Brace yourself like a man; I will question you, and you will inform me.
Will you really annul my justice? Will you condemn me so that you may be in the right?
Do you have an arm like God’s? Can you thunder with a voice like his?
Adorn yourself, then, with majesty and dignity; clothe yourself with splendor and glory.
Unleash the fury of your anger; look at everyone who is proud and bring him low.
Look at everyone who is proud and humble him; crush the wicked where they stand.
Bury them all together in the dust; bind their faces in the hidden place.
Then I myself will acknowledge to you that your own right hand can save you.
Look now at Behemoth, which I made along with you; it eats grass like an ox.
Look at the strength in its loins, the power in the muscles of its belly.
It makes its tail stiff like a cedar; the sinews of its thighs are knit together.
Its bones are tubes of bronze, its limbs like bars of iron.
It ranks first among the works of God; the one who made it can bring his sword near it.
The mountains bring it their produce, where all the wild animals play.
It lies under the lotus plants, hidden among the reeds in the marsh.
The lotus plants cover it with their shade; the willows of the stream surround it.
Even if the river rages, it is not alarmed; it stays confident though the Jordan surges against its mouth.
Can anyone capture it while it is watching, or pierce its nose with a snare?
