Deuteronomy 34
Lumin Translation 2.0 checked against the Hebrew and Greek How it was made
Then Moses went up from the plains of Moab to Mount Nebo, to the top of Pisgah, which faces Jericho. There Yahweh showed him the whole land: Gilead as far as Dan,
all Naphtali, the land of Ephraim and Manasseh, all the land of Judah as far as the western sea,
the Negev, and the plain of the valley of Jericho, the city of palm trees, as far as Zoar.
Then Yahweh said to him, “This is the land I swore to give to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob when I said, ‘I will give it to your descendants.’ I have let you see it with your own eyes, but you will not cross over into it.”
So Moses the servant of Yahweh died there in the land of Moab, as Yahweh had said.
He buried him in the valley in the land of Moab, opposite Beth-peor, but to this day no one knows where his grave is.
Moses was 120 years old when he died. His eyes were not dim, and his vigor had not left him.
The Israelites wept for Moses in the plains of Moab for thirty days, until the days of weeping and mourning for Moses came to an end.
Joshua son of Nun was filled with the spirit of wisdom, because Moses had laid his hands on him. So the Israelites listened to him and did as Yahweh had commanded Moses.
Since then no prophet has arisen in Israel like Moses, whom Yahweh knew face to face,
none like him in all the signs and wonders that Yahweh sent him to perform in the land of Egypt, against Pharaoh, all his servants, and his whole land,
and in all the mighty power and all the great and terrifying deeds that Moses performed in the sight of all Israel.
