Yahweh said to Moses,
“Tell the Israelites to bring me a contribution. You are to receive my contribution from everyone whose heart moves him to give.
This is the contribution you are to receive from them: gold, silver, and bronze;
blue, purple, and scarlet yarn; fine linen and goat hair;
ram skins dyed red, fine leather, and acacia wood;
oil for the light; spices for the anointing oil and for the fragrant incense;
and onyx stones and other gems to be set in the ephod and the breastpiece.
Have them make a sanctuary for me, so that I may dwell among them.
You must make the tabernacle and all its furnishings exactly according to the pattern I am showing you.
They are to make an ark of acacia wood, two and a half cubits long, a cubit and a half wide, and a cubit and a half high.
Overlay it with pure gold, inside and out, and make a gold molding around it.
Cast four gold rings for it and fasten them to its four feet, two rings on one side and two rings on the other.
Make poles of acacia wood and overlay them with gold.
Put the poles into the rings on the sides of the ark, to carry the ark with them.
The poles are to stay in the rings of the ark; they must not be removed from it.
Then put into the ark the testimony that I will give you.
Make a mercy seat of pure gold, two and a half cubits long and a cubit and a half wide.
Make two cherubim of gold; make them of hammered work at the two ends of the mercy seat.
Make one cherub at one end and the other cherub at the other end. Make the cherubim of one piece with the mercy seat at its two ends.
The cherubim are to have their wings spread upward, overshadowing the mercy seat with their wings, and they are to face each other, looking toward the mercy seat.
Place the mercy seat on top of the ark, and put into the ark the testimony that I will give you.
There I will meet with you, and from above the mercy seat, between the two cherubim that are on the ark of the testimony, I will speak with you about everything I command you for the Israelites.
Make a table of acacia wood, two cubits long, a cubit wide, and a cubit and a half high.
Overlay it with pure gold and make a gold molding around it.
Make a rim around it a handbreadth wide, and put a gold molding around the rim.
Make four gold rings for it and fasten the rings to the four corners where its four legs are.
The rings are to be close to the rim, to hold the poles used to carry the table.
Make the poles of acacia wood and overlay them with gold, and the table is to be carried with them.
Make its plates and dishes, as well as its pitchers and bowls for pouring drink offerings. Make them of pure gold.
Put the bread of the Presence on the table before me at all times.
Make a lampstand of pure gold. The lampstand is to be made of hammered work: its base and its shaft, its cups, its buds, and its blossoms are to be of one piece with it.
Six branches are to extend from its sides, three branches of the lampstand from one side and three branches of the lampstand from the other side.
There are to be three cups shaped like almond blossoms on one branch, each with a bud and a blossom, and three cups shaped like almond blossoms on the next branch, each with a bud and a blossom. So it is to be for all six branches that extend from the lampstand.
On the lampstand itself there are to be four cups shaped like almond blossoms, with their buds and blossoms.
A bud is to be under the first pair of branches extending from it, a bud under the second pair, and a bud under the third pair, for all six branches that extend from the lampstand.
Their buds and their branches are to be of one piece with it, the whole of it a single piece of hammered work of pure gold.
Make its seven lamps, and set them up so that they light the space in front of it.
Its wick trimmers and their trays are to be of pure gold.
The lampstand and all these accessories are to be made from a talent of pure gold.
See that you make them according to the pattern shown to you on the mountain.
