Exodus 31

Lumin Translation 2.0 checked against the Hebrew and Greek How it was made

Yahweh said to Moses,

“See, I have called by name Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah.

I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with skill, understanding, and knowledge in every kind of craft,

to make artistic designs, to work in gold, silver, and bronze,

to cut stones for setting, to carve wood, and to work in every kind of craft.

I myself have appointed Oholiab son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan, to be with him. I have given skill to all who are skilled, so that they may make everything I have commanded you:

the tent of meeting, the ark of the testimony, the mercy seat that is on it, and all the furnishings of the tent,

the table and its utensils, the pure gold lampstand and all its utensils, the altar of incense,

the altar of burnt offering and all its utensils, the basin and its stand,

the woven garments, the holy garments for Aaron the priest and the garments for his sons to serve as priests,

and the anointing oil and the fragrant incense for the holy place. They are to make them just as I have commanded you.”

Yahweh said to Moses,

“Tell the Israelites, ‘You must keep my Sabbaths, for this is a sign between me and you throughout your generations, so that you may know that I am Yahweh, who makes you holy.

Keep the Sabbath, for it is holy to you. Whoever profanes it must be put to death. Whoever does any work on it, that person is to be cut off from among his people.

For six days work may be done, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of complete rest, holy to Yahweh. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day must be put to death.

The Israelites are to keep the Sabbath, observing the Sabbath throughout their generations as a permanent covenant.

It is a sign between me and the Israelites forever, for in six days Yahweh made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day he rested and was refreshed.’”

When he had finished speaking with Moses on Mount Sinai, he gave him the two tablets of the testimony, tablets of stone written by the finger of God.
