Lumin Translation

Zechariah 13

Lumin Translation 2.0 checked against the Hebrew and Greek How it was made

1On that day a fountain will be opened for the house of David and for the inhabitants of Jerusalem, to cleanse them from sin and impurity.

2On that day, declares Yahweh of Armies, I will cut off the names of the idols from the land, and they will no longer be remembered. I will also remove the prophets and the spirit of impurity from the land.

3If anyone still prophesies, his father and mother, who gave him birth, will say to him, “You must not live, for you have spoken lies in the name of Yahweh.” And when he prophesies, his father and mother, who gave him birth, will pierce him.

4On that day every prophet will be ashamed of his vision when he prophesies. They will no longer put on a hairy cloak in order to deceive.

5Each will say, “I am not a prophet. I am a man who works the soil, for someone has owned me since my youth.”

6If someone asks him, “What are these wounds on your chest?” he will answer, “They are wounds I received in the house of those who love me.”

7Awake, sword, against my shepherd, against the man who is my close companion, declares Yahweh of Armies. Strike the shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered, and I will turn my hand against the little ones.

8In the whole land, declares Yahweh, two-thirds will be cut off and die, but one-third will be left in it.

9I will bring this third through the fire; I will refine them as silver is refined and test them as gold is tested. They will call on my name, and I will answer them. I will say, “They are my people,” and they will say, “Yahweh is my God.”
