Zechariah 14
Lumin Translation 2.0 checked against the Hebrew and Greek How it was made
Look, a day is coming for Yahweh when the plunder taken from you will be divided in your midst.
I will gather all the nations against Jerusalem for battle. The city will be captured, the houses plundered, and the women violated. Half of the city will go into exile, but the rest of the people will not be cut off from the city.
Then Yahweh will go out and fight against those nations, as he fights on a day of battle.
On that day his feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, which lies before Jerusalem on the east. The Mount of Olives will be split in two from east to west, forming a very wide valley, so that half of the mountain moves north and half of it south.
You will flee by the valley of my mountains, for the valley of the mountains will reach as far as Azal. You will flee as you fled from the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah. Then Yahweh my God will come, and all the holy ones with you.
On that day there will be no light, neither cold nor frost.
It will be a single day, known to Yahweh—neither day nor night—but at evening time there will be light.
On that day living water will flow out from Jerusalem, half of it to the eastern sea and half of it to the western sea. It will flow in summer and in winter.
Yahweh will be king over all the earth. On that day Yahweh will be one, and his name one.
The whole land will be turned into a plain like the Arabah, from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem. But Jerusalem will be raised high and will remain in its place, from the Benjamin Gate to the site of the First Gate and the Corner Gate, and from the Tower of Hananel to the king’s winepresses.
People will live in it, and it will never again be devoted to destruction. Jerusalem will live in security.
This will be the plague with which Yahweh strikes all the peoples who waged war against Jerusalem: their flesh will waste away while they are still standing on their feet, their eyes will waste away in their sockets, and their tongues will waste away in their mouths.
On that day a great panic from Yahweh will come over them. Each will seize the hand of his neighbor, and each will raise his hand against his neighbor.
Judah too will fight at Jerusalem. The wealth of all the surrounding nations will be gathered up—gold, silver, and clothing in great abundance.
A plague like this one will also strike the horses, mules, camels, and donkeys, and all the animals in those camps.
Then everyone who is left of all the nations that came against Jerusalem will go up year after year to worship the King, Yahweh of Armies, and to celebrate the Festival of Booths.
If any of the families of the earth do not go up to Jerusalem to worship the King, Yahweh of Armies, no rain will fall on them.
If the family of Egypt does not go up and come in, they will have no rain; the plague will come on them with which Yahweh strikes the nations that do not go up to celebrate the Festival of Booths.
This will be the punishment of Egypt and the punishment of all the nations that do not go up to celebrate the Festival of Booths.
On that day “Holy to Yahweh” will be inscribed on the bells of the horses, and the pots in the house of Yahweh will be like the bowls in front of the altar.
Every pot in Jerusalem and Judah will be holy to Yahweh of Armies, and all who offer sacrifices will come and take some of them and cook in them. On that day there will no longer be a Canaanite in the house of Yahweh of Armies.
