Zechariah 5

Lumin Translation 2.0 checked against the Hebrew and Greek How it was made

Again I looked up and saw a flying scroll.

He asked me, “What do you see?” I answered, “I see a flying scroll, twenty cubits long and ten cubits wide.”

Then he said to me, “This is the curse that is going out over the face of the whole land. According to what is written on one side, every thief will be purged away, and according to what is written on the other, everyone who swears falsely will be purged away.

I will send it out, declares Yahweh of Armies, and it will enter the house of the thief and the house of anyone who swears falsely by my name. It will stay inside his house and destroy it, both its timbers and its stones.”

Then the angel who was speaking with me came forward and said to me, “Look up and see what this is that is coming out.”

I asked, “What is it?” He said, “This is an ephah basket coming out.” He added, “This is what they look like throughout the land.”

Then a round lead cover was lifted, and there was a woman sitting inside the ephah basket.

He said, “This is Wickedness.” He pushed her back into the ephah basket and pushed the lead weight down over its mouth.

Then I looked up and saw two women coming out, with the wind in their wings. They had wings like the wings of a stork, and they lifted up the ephah basket between earth and heaven.

I asked the angel who was speaking with me, “Where are they taking the ephah basket?”

He said to me, “To build a house for it in the land of Shinar. When the house is ready, it will be set down there on its base.”
