Lumin Translation
Ezekiel 41
Lumin Translation 2.0 checked against the Hebrew and Greek How it was made
Then he brought me into the main hall and measured the jambs: six cubits wide on each side. This was the width of the tent.
The entrance was ten cubits wide, and the side walls of the entrance were five cubits on each side. He measured the length of the main hall: forty cubits; and its width: twenty cubits.
Then he went inside and measured the jambs of the entrance: two cubits; the entrance: six cubits; and the width of the entrance: seven cubits.
He measured its length: twenty cubits; and its width: twenty cubits, in front of the main hall. He said to me, “This is the Most Holy Place.”
Then he measured the wall of the temple: six cubits thick; and the width of each side room: four cubits, all the way around the temple.
The side rooms were in three stories, one above another, thirty in each story. There were ledges in the wall of the temple all around to support the side rooms, so that the supports would not be set into the wall of the temple itself.
The side rooms grew wider as they went up, story by story, because the structure surrounding the temple rose by stages all around the temple. So the temple was wider at the top, and one went up from the lowest story to the highest by way of the middle one.
I saw that the temple had a raised platform all around. The foundations of the side rooms were a full rod, six long cubits.
The outer wall of the side rooms was five cubits thick. There was an open area beside the side rooms of the temple,
and between it and the chambers was a width of twenty cubits all the way around the temple.
The side rooms had doors opening onto the open area, one door toward the north and another toward the south. The open area was five cubits wide all around.
The building that faced the separate area on the west side was seventy cubits wide. The wall of the building was five cubits thick all around, and its length was ninety cubits.
Then he measured the temple: a hundred cubits long. The separate area and the building with its walls were also a hundred cubits long.
The width of the front of the temple together with the separate area on the east was a hundred cubits.
He measured the length of the building facing the separate area at the back of the temple, with its galleries on each side: a hundred cubits. The inner main hall and the vestibules of the court,
the thresholds, the narrow windows, and the galleries around all three of them opposite the threshold were paneled with wood all around, from the floor up to the windows, and the windows were covered.
So was the space above the entrance, as far as the inner room and on the outside. On every wall all around, inside and outside, were measured panels,
decorated with cherubim and palm trees, a palm tree between one cherub and the next. Each cherub had two faces:
a human face toward the palm tree on one side and a young lion’s face toward the palm tree on the other side. They were carved on the whole temple all around.
From the floor to above the entrance, cherubim and palm trees were carved on the wall of the main hall.
The doorposts of the main hall were square, and the front of the holy place had the same appearance.
There was an altar of wood, three cubits high and two cubits long. Its corners, its length, and its sides were of wood. He said to me, “This is the table that stands before Yahweh.”
The main hall and the holy place each had two doors.
Each door had two leaves, two swinging leaves: two leaves for one door and two leaves for the other.
Cherubim and palm trees were carved on the doors of the main hall, like those carved on the walls, and there was a wooden canopy on the front of the vestibule outside.
There were narrow windows and palm trees on each side, on the side walls of the vestibule, on the side rooms of the temple, and on the canopies.
