When you allot the land as an inheritance, you are to set apart a contribution for Yahweh, a holy portion of the land, twenty-five thousand long and ten thousand wide. It will be holy throughout its whole area all around.
Of this, a square plot five hundred by five hundred is to be for the sanctuary, with fifty cubits of open land around it.
From this measured area you are to measure off a section twenty-five thousand long and ten thousand wide. In it will be the sanctuary, the most holy place.
It is a holy portion of the land for the priests, who minister in the sanctuary and come near to minister to Yahweh. It will be a place for their houses and a holy place for the sanctuary.
An area twenty-five thousand long and ten thousand wide will belong to the Levites who minister at the temple, as their possession for twenty chambers.
As the possession of the city you are to assign an area five thousand wide and twenty-five thousand long, alongside the holy contribution. It will belong to the whole house of Israel.
The prince is to have the land on both sides of the holy contribution and the city’s possession, bordering the holy contribution and the city’s possession, extending westward on the west side and eastward on the east side. Its length will correspond to one of the tribal portions, from the western border to the eastern border.
This land is to be his possession in Israel. My princes will no longer oppress my people, but they will give the land to the house of Israel according to their tribes.
This is what Lord Yahweh says: Enough, princes of Israel! Put away violence and oppression, and practice justice and righteousness. Stop evicting my people, declares Lord Yahweh.
You must have just scales, a just ephah, and a just bath.
The ephah and the bath are to be of the same measure, the bath holding a tenth of a homer and the ephah a tenth of a homer; the homer is to be the standard for both.
The shekel is to be twenty gerahs. Twenty shekels plus twenty-five shekels plus fifteen shekels are to make your mina.
This is the contribution you are to offer: a sixth of an ephah from each homer of wheat and a sixth of an ephah from each homer of barley.
The regulation for oil, measured by the bath, is a tenth of a bath from each cor. The cor is ten baths, or a homer, for ten baths make a homer.
Also one sheep from every flock of two hundred from the well-watered pastures of Israel. These are for grain offerings, burnt offerings, and fellowship offerings, to make atonement for the people, declares Lord Yahweh.
All the people of the land are to join in this contribution for the prince in Israel.
It will be the prince’s duty to provide the burnt offerings, the grain offerings, and the drink offerings at the festivals, the new moons, and the Sabbaths, at all the appointed festivals of the house of Israel. He is to provide the sin offering, the grain offering, the burnt offering, and the fellowship offerings to make atonement for the house of Israel.
This is what Lord Yahweh says: In the first month, on the first day of the month, you are to take a young bull without defect and purify the sanctuary.
The priest is to take some of the blood of the sin offering and put it on the doorposts of the temple, on the four corners of the ledge of the altar, and on the doorposts of the gate of the inner court.
You are to do the same on the seventh day of the month for anyone who sins unintentionally or out of ignorance. So you will make atonement for the temple.
In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month, you are to celebrate the Passover, a festival of seven days, during which unleavened bread is to be eaten.
On that day the prince is to provide a bull as a sin offering for himself and for all the people of the land.
During the seven days of the festival he is to provide as a burnt offering to Yahweh seven bulls and seven rams without defect each day for the seven days, and a male goat each day as a sin offering.
He is to provide as a grain offering an ephah for each bull and an ephah for each ram, along with a hin of oil for each ephah.
In the seventh month, on the fifteenth day of the month, at the festival, he is to make the same provision for seven days: the same sin offering, burnt offering, grain offering, and oil.
