Isaiah 15
Lumin Translation 2.0 checked against the Hebrew and Greek How it was made
An oracle concerning Moab: In a single night Ar of Moab is devastated, destroyed; in a single night Kir of Moab is devastated, destroyed.
They have gone up to the temple, and Dibon to the high places, to weep; Moab wails over Nebo and over Medeba. Every head is shaved bald, every beard cut off.
In its streets they wear sackcloth; on its rooftops and in its squares everyone wails, streaming with tears.
Heshbon and Elealeh cry out; their voices are heard as far as Jahaz. Therefore the armed men of Moab cry out; his soul trembles within him.
My heart cries out for Moab; her fugitives flee as far as Zoar, as far as Eglath-shelishiyah. For on the ascent to Luhith they go up weeping; on the road to Horonaim they raise a cry of destruction.
For the waters of Nimrim are desolate; the grass is withered, the new growth is gone, and nothing green is left.
So they carry off the wealth they have gained and what they have stored away across the Brook of the Willows.
For the cry has gone around the borders of Moab; its wailing reaches Eglaim, its wailing reaches Beer-elim.
For the waters of Dimon are full of blood, yet I will bring still more on Dimon: a lion upon the fugitives of Moab and upon those who remain in the land.
