Lumin Translation

Isaiah 27

Lumin Translation 2.0 checked against the Hebrew and Greek How it was made

On that day Yahweh will punish with his sword, his fierce, great, and strong sword, Leviathan the fleeing serpent, Leviathan the twisting serpent; he will kill the dragon that is in the sea.

On that day, sing about a delightful vineyard:

I, Yahweh, am its keeper; I water it every moment. So that no one will harm it, I guard it night and day.

I have no wrath. If only there were briers and thorns to fight against me! I would march out against them in battle; I would burn them all up together.

Or else let them take hold of my protection; let them make peace with me; yes, let them make peace with me.

In days to come Jacob will take root; Israel will bud and blossom and fill the whole world with fruit.

Has he struck Israel as he struck those who struck him? Or has he been killed as those who killed him were killed?

By measure, by sending her away, you contended with her; he drove her out with his fierce wind on the day of the east wind.

Therefore by this Jacob’s iniquity will be atoned for, and this will be the full fruit of removing his sin: when he makes all the stones of the altar like chalkstones crushed to pieces, no Asherah poles or incense altars will be left standing.

For the fortified city is solitary, a homestead deserted and forsaken like the wilderness; there the calf grazes, there it lies down and strips its branches bare.

When its twigs are dry, they are broken off; women come and make fires with them. For this is a people without understanding; therefore the one who made them will not have compassion on them, and the one who formed them will show them no favor.

On that day Yahweh will thresh out the grain from the flowing Euphrates to the Wadi of Egypt, and you, people of Israel, will be gathered up one by one.

On that day a great trumpet will be blown, and those who were perishing in the land of Assyria and those who were driven out to the land of Egypt will come and worship Yahweh on the holy mountain in Jerusalem.
