Lumin Translation
Isaiah 25
Lumin Translation 2.0 checked against the Hebrew and Greek How it was made
Yahweh, you are my God; I will exalt you, I will praise your name, for you have done wonderful things, plans formed long ago, faithful and sure.
For you have made the city a heap of rubble, the fortified town a ruin; the stronghold of foreigners is a city no more; it will never be rebuilt.
Therefore a strong people will honor you; the city of ruthless nations will fear you.
For you have been a refuge for the poor, a refuge for the needy in their distress, a shelter from the storm and a shade from the heat; for the breath of the ruthless is like a storm against a wall,
like heat in a dry land. You subdue the uproar of foreigners; as heat is subdued by the shade of a cloud, so the song of the ruthless is silenced.
On this mountain Yahweh of Armies will prepare for all peoples a feast of rich food, a feast of aged wine, of rich food full of marrow, of aged wine well refined.
On this mountain he will swallow up the shroud that covers all peoples, the sheet that is spread over all nations.
He will swallow up death forever. Lord Yahweh will wipe away the tears from every face, and he will remove the disgrace of his people from all the earth, for Yahweh has spoken.
On that day they will say, “Look, this is our God; we waited for him to save us. This is Yahweh; we waited for him. Let us rejoice and be glad in his salvation.”
For the hand of Yahweh will rest on this mountain, but Moab will be trampled down in its place as straw is trampled down in the water of a dung pit.
He will spread out his hands in the middle of it, as a swimmer spreads out his hands to swim, but he will bring down his pride along with the skill of his hands.
The high fortress of your walls he will bring down, lay low, and cast to the ground, down to the dust.
