Leviticus 15

Lumin Translation 2.0 checked against the Hebrew and Greek How it was made

Yahweh spoke to Moses and Aaron:

“Speak to the Israelites and say to them: When any man has a discharge from his body, he is unclean because of his discharge.

This is how he is unclean because of his discharge: whether his body lets the discharge flow or his body is blocked by the discharge, he is unclean.

Every bed on which the man with the discharge lies will be unclean, and everything on which he sits will be unclean.

Anyone who touches his bed must wash his clothes and bathe in water, and he will be unclean until evening.

Whoever sits on anything that the man with the discharge has sat on must wash his clothes and bathe in water, and he will be unclean until evening.

Whoever touches the body of the man with the discharge must wash his clothes and bathe in water, and he will be unclean until evening.

If the man with the discharge spits on someone who is clean, that person must wash his clothes and bathe in water, and he will be unclean until evening.

Every saddle that the man with the discharge rides on will be unclean.

Whoever touches anything that was under him will be unclean until evening, and whoever carries such things must wash his clothes and bathe in water, and he will be unclean until evening.

Anyone whom the man with the discharge touches without having rinsed his hands in water must wash his clothes and bathe in water, and he will be unclean until evening.

A clay pot that the man with the discharge touches must be broken, and any wooden article must be rinsed with water.

When the man with the discharge is cleansed of his discharge, he is to count off seven days for his cleansing. Then he must wash his clothes and bathe his body in fresh water, and he will be clean.

On the eighth day he is to take two turtledoves or two young pigeons, come before Yahweh at the entrance of the tent of meeting, and give them to the priest.

The priest is to offer them, one as a sin offering and the other as a burnt offering. So the priest will make atonement for him before Yahweh because of his discharge.

When a man has an emission of semen, he must bathe his whole body in water, and he will be unclean until evening.

Any garment or any leather that has semen on it must be washed with water, and it will be unclean until evening.

When a man lies with a woman and there is an emission of semen, they must both bathe in water, and they will be unclean until evening.

When a woman has a discharge, and the discharge from her body is blood, she will remain in her menstrual impurity for seven days, and anyone who touches her will be unclean until evening.

Anything she lies on during her menstrual impurity will be unclean, and anything she sits on will be unclean.

Anyone who touches her bed must wash his clothes and bathe in water, and he will be unclean until evening.

Anyone who touches anything she sits on must wash his clothes and bathe in water, and he will be unclean until evening.

Whether it is the bed or anything she is sitting on, when he touches it he will be unclean until evening.

If a man actually lies with her and her menstrual impurity comes on him, he will be unclean for seven days, and every bed he lies on will be unclean.

When a woman has a discharge of blood for many days at a time other than her monthly period, or if she has a discharge beyond the time of her period, she will be unclean all the days of her unclean discharge, just as in the days of her period. She is unclean.

Any bed she lies on during all the days of her discharge will be for her like the bed she uses during her period, and anything she sits on will be unclean, as during her menstrual impurity.

Anyone who touches these things will be unclean; he must wash his clothes and bathe in water, and he will be unclean until evening.

When she is cleansed of her discharge, she is to count off seven days, and after that she will be clean.

On the eighth day she is to take two turtledoves or two young pigeons and bring them to the priest at the entrance of the tent of meeting.

The priest is to offer one as a sin offering and the other as a burnt offering. So the priest will make atonement for her before Yahweh because of her unclean discharge.

In this way you are to keep the Israelites separate from their uncleanness, so that they will not die in their uncleanness by defiling my tabernacle, which is among them.

This is the law for a man with a discharge, and for a man who has an emission of semen and becomes unclean by it,

for a woman who is unwell with her menstrual period, for anyone with a discharge, whether male or female, and for a man who lies with a woman who is unclean.”
