Leviticus 5

Lumin Translation 2.0 checked against the Hebrew and Greek How it was made

If anyone sins because he hears the public call to testify under oath and does not speak up, though he is a witness who has seen or knows about the matter, he will bear his guilt.

Or if anyone touches anything unclean, whether the carcass of an unclean wild animal, or the carcass of unclean livestock, or the carcass of an unclean swarming creature, and it is hidden from him, he has become unclean and is guilty.

Or if he touches human uncleanness, any kind of uncleanness by which a person becomes unclean, and it is hidden from him, when he learns of it he is guilty.

Or if anyone swears thoughtlessly with his lips to do harm or to do good, in any matter that a person may swear about thoughtlessly, and it is hidden from him, when he learns of it he is guilty in any of these matters.

When he becomes guilty in any of these, he is to confess the sin he has committed.

He is to bring to Yahweh his penalty for the sin he has committed: a female from the flock, a lamb or a goat, as a sin offering. And the priest will make atonement for him for his sin.

But if he cannot afford a lamb, he is to bring to Yahweh, as his penalty for the sin he has committed, two turtledoves or two young pigeons, one for a sin offering and one for a burnt offering.

He is to bring them to the priest, who is to offer first the one for the sin offering. He is to wring its head at the back of its neck without severing it.

He is to sprinkle some of the blood of the sin offering on the side of the altar, and the rest of the blood is to be drained out at the base of the altar. It is a sin offering.

He is to offer the second as a burnt offering according to the regulation. So the priest will make atonement for him for the sin he has committed, and he will be forgiven.

But if he cannot afford two turtledoves or two young pigeons, he is to bring as his offering for the sin he has committed a tenth of an ephah of fine flour as a sin offering. He must not put oil on it or put frankincense on it, for it is a sin offering.

He is to bring it to the priest, and the priest is to take a full handful of it as its memorial portion and burn it on the altar on top of the fire offerings to Yahweh. It is a sin offering.

So the priest will make atonement for him for the sin he has committed in any of these matters, and he will be forgiven. The rest will belong to the priest, as with the grain offering.”

Yahweh spoke to Moses:

“When anyone acts unfaithfully and sins unintentionally with regard to any of Yahweh’s holy things, he is to bring to Yahweh as his guilt offering a ram without defect from the flock, valued by you in silver shekels, by the sanctuary shekel, as a guilt offering.

He is to make restitution for what he has sinned against the holy thing, add a fifth to it, and give it to the priest. The priest will make atonement for him with the ram of the guilt offering, and he will be forgiven.

If anyone sins and does any one of the things that Yahweh has commanded must not be done, though he does not know it, he is guilty and will bear his guilt.

He is to bring to the priest a ram without defect from the flock, at your valuation, as a guilt offering. The priest will make atonement for him for the error he committed unintentionally without knowing it, and he will be forgiven.

It is a guilt offering; he was certainly guilty before Yahweh.”
