Leviticus 3

1If his offering is a sacrifice of fellowship offerings and he offers an animal from the herd, whether male or female, he is to offer one without defect before Yahweh.

2He is to lay his hand on the head of his offering and slaughter it at the entrance of the tent of meeting, and Aaron’s sons the priests are to splash the blood against the altar on all sides.

3From the sacrifice of fellowship offerings he is to offer a fire offering to Yahweh: the fat that covers the entrails and all the fat that is on the entrails,

4the two kidneys with the fat that is on them at the loins, and the lobe of the liver, which he is to remove with the kidneys.

5Aaron’s sons are to burn it on the altar on top of the burnt offering that is on the wood on the fire, a fire offering, a pleasing aroma to Yahweh.

6If his offering for a sacrifice of fellowship offerings to Yahweh is from the flock, male or female, he is to offer one without defect.

7If he offers a lamb as his offering, he is to present it before Yahweh.

8He is to lay his hand on the head of his offering and slaughter it in front of the tent of meeting, and Aaron’s sons are to splash its blood against the altar on all sides.

9From the sacrifice of fellowship offerings he is to offer a fire offering to Yahweh: its fat, the whole fat tail, which he is to remove close to the backbone, the fat that covers the entrails, and all the fat that is on the entrails,

10the two kidneys with the fat that is on them at the loins, and the lobe of the liver, which he is to remove with the kidneys.

11The priest is to burn it on the altar as food, a fire offering to Yahweh.

12If his offering is a goat, he is to present it before Yahweh.

13He is to lay his hand on its head and slaughter it in front of the tent of meeting, and Aaron’s sons are to splash its blood against the altar on all sides.

14From it he is to offer his offering, a fire offering to Yahweh: the fat that covers the entrails and all the fat that is on the entrails,

15the two kidneys with the fat that is on them at the loins, and the lobe of the liver, which he is to remove with the kidneys.

16The priest is to burn them on the altar as food, a fire offering, a pleasing aroma. All the fat belongs to Yahweh.

17This is a permanent statute throughout your generations, wherever you live: you must not eat any fat or any blood.”
