Psalm 104
Lumin Translation 2.0 checked against the Hebrew and Greek How it was made
Bless Yahweh, my soul. Yahweh my God, you are very great; you are clothed with splendor and majesty,
wrapping yourself in light as in a garment, stretching out the heavens like a tent curtain.
He lays the beams of his upper rooms on the waters; he makes the clouds his chariot; he rides on the wings of the wind.
He makes the winds his messengers, flames of fire his servants.
He set the earth on its foundations, so that it will not be shaken, forever and ever.
You covered it with the deep as with a garment; the waters stood above the mountains.
At your rebuke they fled; at the sound of your thunder they rushed away.
They went up the mountains and down the valleys to the place you appointed for them.
You set a boundary they cannot cross, so that they will never again cover the earth.
He sends springs into the valleys; they flow between the mountains.
They give drink to every wild animal; the wild donkeys quench their thirst.
The birds of the sky live beside them; they sing among the branches.
He waters the mountains from his upper rooms; the earth is satisfied with the fruit of your works.
He makes grass grow for the cattle and plants for people to cultivate, bringing food out of the earth,
and wine that gladdens the human heart, oil to make the face shine, and bread that sustains the human heart.
The trees of Yahweh are well watered, the cedars of Lebanon that he planted.
There the birds build their nests; the stork makes its home in the cypresses.
The high mountains belong to the wild goats; the crags are a refuge for the rock badgers.
He made the moon to mark the seasons; the sun knows when to set.
You bring darkness, and it becomes night, when all the animals of the forest prowl.
The young lions roar for their prey, seeking their food from God.
When the sun rises, they withdraw and lie down in their dens.
People go out to their work and to their labor until evening.
How many are your works, Yahweh! In wisdom you have made them all; the earth is full of your creatures.
There is the sea, vast and wide, teeming with creatures beyond number, living things both small and great.
There the ships go to and fro, and Leviathan, which you formed to play in it.
They all look to you to give them their food at the proper time.
When you give it to them, they gather it up; when you open your hand, they are filled with good things.
When you hide your face, they are terrified; when you take away their breath, they die and return to their dust.
When you send out your Spirit, they are created, and you renew the face of the ground.
May the glory of Yahweh endure forever; may Yahweh rejoice in his works.
He looks at the earth, and it trembles; he touches the mountains, and they smoke.
I will sing to Yahweh all my life; I will sing praises to my God as long as I live.
May my meditation be pleasing to him; I will rejoice in Yahweh.
May sinners vanish from the earth, and may the wicked be no more. Bless Yahweh, my soul. Hallelujah!
