Lumin Translation
Psalm 2
Lumin Translation 2.0 checked against the Hebrew and Greek How it was made
Why do the nations rage and the peoples plot in vain?
The kings of the earth take their stand, and the rulers conspire together against Yahweh and against his anointed:
“Let us tear off their chains and throw off their ropes from us.”
The one enthroned in heaven laughs; the Lord scoffs at them.
Then he speaks to them in his anger and terrifies them in his fury:
“I myself have installed my king on Zion, my holy mountain.”
I will proclaim the decree of Yahweh. He said to me, “You are my son; today I have fathered you.
Ask me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession.
You will break them with a rod of iron; you will shatter them like a potter’s jar.”
So now, you kings, be wise; be warned, you rulers of the earth.
Serve Yahweh with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
Kiss the son, or he will be angry and you will perish on the way, for his anger flares up quickly. Blessed are all who take refuge in him.
