Lumin Translation
Psalm 62
Lumin Translation 2.0 checked against the Hebrew and Greek How it was made
For the choir director. According to Jeduthun. A psalm of David.
1Only for God does my soul wait in stillness; my salvation is from him.
2Only he is my rock and my salvation, my high stronghold; I will not be badly shaken.
3How long will you all rush at one man to beat him down, like a sagging wall, a fence ready to fall?
4All they plan is to topple him from his place of honor; lies are their delight. They speak blessings with their mouths, but in their hearts they curse. Selah.
5Only for God, my soul, wait in stillness, for from him comes my hope.
6Only he is my rock and my salvation, my high stronghold; I will not be shaken.
7My salvation and my honor lie with God; my strong rock and my shelter are in God.
8You people, rely on him at all times; pour out your hearts in front of him. God is our place of refuge. Selah.
9Surely the lowly are only a breath, and the great are a lie; placed on the scales, they go up; together they weigh less than a breath.
10Do not rely on oppression, and do not pin empty hopes on plunder; when wealth grows, do not give your heart to it.
11God spoke once; I heard it twice: that strength belongs to God,
12and that steadfast love is yours, Lord. For you repay each person according to what he has done.
