3He will not let your foot give way; your guardian will not doze.
4See, the guardian of Israel will not doze and will not sleep.
5Yahweh is your guardian; Yahweh is your shade at your right side.
6By day the sun will not strike you, nor will the moon at night.
7Yahweh will guard you against every evil; he will guard your soul.
8Yahweh will guard you as you go out and as you come in, from this moment on and forever.
