Psalm 76

Lumin Translation 2.0 checked against the Hebrew and Greek How it was made

For the choir director. With stringed instruments. A psalm of Asaph. A song.

God is known in Judah; his name is great in Israel.

His tent is in Salem, his dwelling place in Zion.

There he broke the flaming arrows of the bow, the shield, the sword, and the weapons of war. Selah.

You are radiant, more majestic than the mountains full of prey.

The stouthearted have been plundered; they have sunk into their final sleep; none of the warriors could lift their hands.

At your rebuke, God of Jacob, both chariot and horse lay stunned.

You—you are the one to be feared! Who can stand before you once your anger is roused?

From heaven you made your judgment heard; the earth feared and was still,

when God rose up to judge, to save all the afflicted of the earth. Selah.

Surely human wrath will bring you praise; with what remains of wrath you clothe yourself.

Make vows to Yahweh your God and fulfill them; let all around him bring gifts to the one who is to be feared.

He cuts off the spirit of rulers; he is feared by the kings of the earth.
