Psalm 48

Lumin Translation 2.0 checked against the Hebrew and Greek How it was made

A song. A psalm of the sons of Korah.

Great is Yahweh and most worthy of praise in the city of our God, on his holy mountain.

Beautiful in its loftiness, the joy of the whole earth, is Mount Zion, the heights of the north, the city of the great King.

Within her citadels God has shown himself to be a fortress.

For see, the kings joined forces; they advanced together.

They saw it and were astounded; they were terrified and fled in alarm.

Trembling seized them there, anguish like that of a woman in labor.

With an east wind you shatter the ships of Tarshish.

As we have heard, so we have seen in the city of Yahweh of Armies, in the city of our God; God will make her secure forever. Selah.

We have pondered your steadfast love, God, within your temple.

Like your name, God, so your praise reaches to the ends of the earth; your right hand is full of righteousness.

Let Mount Zion rejoice; let the daughters of Judah be glad because of your judgments.

Walk around Zion and go all around her; count her towers.

Pay close attention to her ramparts; go through her citadels, so that you may tell the next generation

that this is God, our God forever and ever. He will guide us until death.
