Psalm 7

Lumin Translation 2.0 checked against the Hebrew and Greek How it was made

A shiggaion of David, which he sang to Yahweh concerning Cush, a Benjaminite.

Yahweh my God, in you I take refuge; save me from all who pursue me and rescue me,

or like a lion they will tear me apart, ripping me to pieces with no one to rescue me.

Yahweh my God, if I have done this, if there is injustice on my hands,

if I have repaid my friend with evil or plundered my enemy without cause,

then let the enemy pursue me and overtake me; let him trample my life into the ground and lay my honor in the dust. Selah.

Rise up, Yahweh, in your anger; lift yourself up against the fury of my foes; awake for me, for you have decreed justice.

Let the assembly of the peoples gather around you, and return on high above them.

Yahweh judges the peoples. Judge me, Yahweh, according to my righteousness and according to my integrity within me.

Let the evil of the wicked come to an end, and make the righteous secure, you who test hearts and minds, righteous God.

My shield is God, who saves the upright in heart.

God is a righteous judge, a God who shows his anger every day.

If anyone does not turn back, he will sharpen his sword; he has bent his bow and made it ready.

He has prepared his deadly weapons; he makes his arrows flaming shafts.

See, the wicked is in labor with evil; he conceives trouble and gives birth to lies.

He digs a pit and hollows it out, and falls into the hole he has made.

The trouble he causes comes back on his own head; his violence comes down on his own skull.

I will thank Yahweh for his righteousness and sing praise to the name of Yahweh, the Most High.
