Lumin Translation
Psalm 132
Lumin Translation 2.0 checked against the Hebrew and Greek How it was made
A song of ascents.
Yahweh, remember David and all the hardships he endured,
how he swore an oath to Yahweh and made a vow to the Mighty One of Jacob:
“I will not enter the tent of my house or get into my bed;
I will not give sleep to my eyes or slumber to my eyelids,
until I find a place for Yahweh, a dwelling place for the Mighty One of Jacob.”
Look, we heard of it in Ephrathah; we found it in the fields of Jaar.
Let us go to his dwelling place; let us bow down at his footstool.
Arise, Yahweh, and come to your resting place, you and the ark of your strength.
May your priests be clothed with righteousness, and may your faithful people shout for joy.
For the sake of your servant David, do not reject your anointed one.
Yahweh swore to David a sure oath from which he will not turn back: “One of your own descendants I will set on your throne.
If your sons keep my covenant and my decrees that I will teach them, their sons also will sit on your throne forever and ever.”
For Yahweh has chosen Zion; he has desired it as his home:
“This is my resting place forever and ever; here I will live, for I have desired it.
I will abundantly bless her provisions; I will satisfy her poor with bread.
I will clothe her priests with salvation, and her faithful people will shout aloud for joy.
There I will make a horn sprout for David; I have prepared a lamp for my anointed one.
I will clothe his enemies with shame, but on him his crown will shine.”
