Psalm 8
Lumin Translation 2.0 checked against the Hebrew and Greek How it was made
For the choir director. According to the gittith. A psalm of David.
1Yahweh our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your splendor above the heavens.
2From the mouths of children and nursing infants you have laid a foundation of strength on account of your adversaries, to put a stop to the enemy and the avenger.
3When I gaze at your heavens, which your fingers made, at the moon and the stars you fixed in their places,
4what is a human being that you remember him, a son of man that you care for him?
5You have made him a little less than God and crowned him with glory and majesty.
6You have made him ruler over the works of your hands; you have put everything under his feet:
7all sheep and cattle, and the wild animals too,
8the birds of the sky and the fish of the sea, everything that moves along the pathways of the seas.
9Yahweh our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!
