Psalm 85
Lumin Translation 2.0 checked against the Hebrew and Greek How it was made
For the choir director. Of the sons of Korah. A psalm.
Yahweh, you showed favor to your land; you restored the fortunes of Jacob.
You took away the guilt of your people; you covered all their sin. Selah.
You withdrew all your fury; you turned from your burning anger.
Restore us, God of our salvation, and put away your displeasure toward us.
Will you be angry with us forever? Will you prolong your anger through all generations?
Will you not give us life again, so that your people may rejoice in you?
Show us your steadfast love, Yahweh, and grant us your salvation.
I will listen to what God, Yahweh, will say, for he will speak peace to his people, to his faithful ones; but do not let them turn back to folly.
Surely his salvation is near to those who fear him, so that glory may dwell in our land.
Steadfast love and faithfulness meet; righteousness and peace kiss each other.
Faithfulness springs up from the earth, and righteousness looks down from heaven.
Yes, Yahweh will give what is good, and our land will yield its harvest.
Righteousness will go before him and make a path for his steps.
