Psalm 147

Lumin Translation 2.0 checked against the Hebrew and Greek How it was made

Hallelujah! For it is good to sing praises to our God; it is pleasant, and praise is fitting.

Yahweh builds up Jerusalem; he gathers the scattered people of Israel.

He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.

He counts the number of the stars; he gives names to all of them.

Great is our Lord and mighty in power; his understanding is beyond measure.

Yahweh lifts up the humble; he brings the wicked down to the ground.

Sing to Yahweh with thanksgiving; make music to our God on the lyre.

He covers the heavens with clouds; he prepares rain for the earth; he makes grass grow on the mountains.

He gives the animals their food, and the young ravens what they cry for.

He does not delight in the strength of the horse; he takes no pleasure in the legs of a man.

Yahweh takes pleasure in those who fear him, in those who hope in his steadfast love.

Praise Yahweh, Jerusalem! Praise your God, Zion!

For he strengthens the bars of your gates; he blesses your children within you.

He makes peace in your borders; he satisfies you with the finest wheat.

He sends his command to the earth; his word runs swiftly.

He gives snow like wool; he scatters frost like ashes.

He throws down his hail like crumbs; who can stand before his cold?

He sends out his word and melts them; he makes his wind blow, and the waters flow.

He declares his word to Jacob, his statutes and his ordinances to Israel.

He has not done this for any other nation; they do not know his ordinances. Hallelujah!
