Psalm 71

Lumin Translation 2.0 checked against the Hebrew and Greek How it was made

In you, Yahweh, I take refuge; never let me be put to shame.

In your righteousness rescue me and deliver me; turn your ear to me and save me.

Be my rock of shelter, where I can always come; you have given the command to save me, for you are my rock and my fortress.

My God, deliver me from the hand of the wicked, from the grip of the unjust and the cruel.

For you are my hope, Lord Yahweh, my trust from my youth.

I have leaned on you from birth; you brought me out of my mother’s womb. My praise is always of you.

I have become like a portent to many, but you are my strong refuge.

My mouth is filled with your praise, with your splendor all day long.

Do not cast me off in the time of old age; do not abandon me when my strength fails.

For my enemies talk about me, and those who watch for my life plot together,

saying, “God has abandoned him; pursue him and seize him, for there is no one to rescue him.”

God, do not be far from me; my God, hurry to help me!

Let those who accuse me be put to shame and consumed; let those who seek my harm be wrapped in insult and disgrace.

But as for me, I will always hope, and I will add to all your praise.

My mouth will tell of your righteousness, of your salvation all day long, though I do not know how to count it all.

I will come with the mighty deeds of Lord Yahweh; I will proclaim your righteousness, yours alone.

God, you have taught me from my youth, and to this day I declare your wonders.

Even to old age and gray hair, God, do not abandon me, until I declare your strength to this generation, your might to all who are to come.

Your righteousness, God, reaches to the heights; you have done great things. God, who is like you?

You who have made me see many troubles and hardships will give me life again; from the depths of the earth you will bring me up again.

You will increase my greatness and turn to comfort me again.

I also will praise you with the harp for your faithfulness, my God; I will sing praises to you with the lyre, Holy One of Israel.

My lips will shout for joy when I sing praises to you, and so will my soul, which you have redeemed.

My tongue also will talk of your righteousness all day long, for those who seek my harm have been put to shame and humiliated.
