Psalm 30
Lumin Translation 2.0 checked against the Hebrew and Greek How it was made
A psalm. A song for the dedication of the house. Of David.
I will exalt you, Yahweh, for you have drawn me up and have not let my enemies rejoice over me.
Yahweh my God, I cried to you for help, and you healed me.
Yahweh, you brought my soul up from Sheol; you kept me alive, so that I did not go down to the pit.
Sing praise to Yahweh, you his faithful ones, and give thanks to his holy name.
For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may stay the night, but joy comes in the morning.
As for me, I said when I was secure, “I will never be shaken.”
Yahweh, by your favor you made my mountain stand strong; then you hid your face, and I was terrified.
To you, Yahweh, I called; to the Lord I pleaded for mercy:
“What profit is there in my death, in my going down to the pit? Will the dust praise you? Will it proclaim your faithfulness?
Hear, Yahweh, and be gracious to me; Yahweh, be my helper!”
You have turned my mourning into dancing; you have taken off my sackcloth and clothed me with joy,
so that my glory may sing praise to you and not be silent. Yahweh my God, I will thank you forever.
