For the choir director. Of the sons of Korah. According to alamoth. A song.
God is our refuge and strength, a help always found in times of trouble.
So we will not be afraid, even if the earth shifts and the mountains slip into the depths of the seas,
even if its waters thunder and churn, and the mountains shake at its proud swelling. Selah.
There is a river; its channels bring joy to the city of God, the holy dwellings of the Most High.
God is within her; she will not be toppled. God will help her as morning appears.
Nations roar, kingdoms topple; he sends out his voice, and the earth dissolves.
Yahweh of Armies is with us; our high stronghold is the God of Jacob. Selah.
Come, look at the deeds of Yahweh, the ruins he has made on the earth.
He puts an end to wars all the way to the ends of the earth; he smashes the bow and cuts the spear in two; he sets the wagons on fire.
Be still, and know that I am God. I will be lifted high among the nations; I will be lifted high on the earth.
Yahweh of Armies is with us; our high stronghold is the God of Jacob. Selah.
