Lumin Translation
Psalm 27
Lumin Translation 2.0 checked against the Hebrew and Greek How it was made
Of David.
1Yahweh is my light and my salvation; whom should I fear? Yahweh is the fortress of my life; whom should I dread?
2When evildoers advance on me to devour my flesh—my foes and my enemies—they are the ones who trip and fall.
3If an army sets up camp against me, my heart will not be afraid; if war rises against me, still I will trust.
4One thing I have asked of Yahweh, and it is what I will pursue: to live in Yahweh’s house every day of my life, to look upon the loveliness of Yahweh and to seek insight in his temple.
5For on the day of trouble he will hide me away in his shelter; he will conceal me under the cover of his tent; he will raise me up on a rock.
6So now my head will be raised high above my enemies all around me; in his tent I will offer sacrifices with shouts of joy; I will sing and play songs of praise to Yahweh.
7Yahweh, listen to my voice as I cry out; show me grace and answer me.
8To you my heart has spoken: “Seek my face.” It is your face, Yahweh, that I will seek.
9Do not hide your face from me; do not thrust your servant aside in anger. You have been my help; do not cast me off, do not abandon me, God of my salvation.
10Even if my father and my mother abandon me, Yahweh will gather me in.
11Teach me your way, Yahweh; guide me on a level road because of my watchful foes.
12Do not give me over to the appetite of my foes, for lying witnesses have stood up against me, and they spew out violence.
13If I had not believed that I would see the goodness of Yahweh in the land of the living!
14Wait for Yahweh; be strong, and let your heart stand firm; wait for Yahweh!
